Manali combines bold initiatives with extensive experience in product design, product development and marketing strategy. Bringing novel product ideas to market is a huge challenge because it requires more than simply identifying new ideas, it requires having insights into the consumer, manufacturing, product development and most importantly, understanding current cultural trends to foresee if the idea has a viable market. Manali's ability to do all these things is her strength as a strategic thinker.
I have worked for Manali as a designer and know her to be a supportive, encouraging and fair manager, who always has the interests of her team in mind. I have also worked alongside her as a colleague to see how she navigates difficult situations, both from a political perspective and a design perspective. Design strategy for large new product launches that aim to change the marketplace require someone with Manali's level of experience combined with her passion for always making objects more relevant to the world we should be living in, rather than the one we already find ourselves in.
