about me...
MY PURPOSE
Growing up in a family of social justice advocates and Gandhian freedom fighters, I developed a deep sense of empathy for and kinship with the underprivileged.
After suddenly losing my husband just 2 months into my study abroad graduate program in Costa Rica, I discovered my passion for behavioral health. Leading to my graduate thesis on design interventions for trauma therapy and accessible mental healthcare in large scale humanitarian crises.
My work
I have 20+ years of experience using my design thinking expertise to help clients build and launch products.
I co-founded a Startup and Special Projects Lab/Incubator at a Fortune 500 company. I have partnered with Fortune 100 corporations, and public sector entities in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia on projects that bring transformative change to their organizations, products and services.
I co-founded an education non-profit DreamBig to create synergies between technology companies and higher educational institutions. I have guest-lectured and mentored students at Parsons School of Design, SCAD and Polimoda.
MY PRACTICE
My training as a yoga teacher informs my design practice. Mindfulness and sustainability are core to my values. I approach design problems holistically and intend to be kind, curious and ethical when partnering with others.
“Find out what a person fears most and that’s where they will develop next.”
-CARL JUNG
I spent my childhood in India weaving stories and resourcefully crafting my own playthings to create an alternate imaginary universe.
I left India with $300 in my pocket to attend the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York City.
I climbed Mount Fujiyama to photograph the sunrise over the Land of the Rising Sun.
By the time I completed high school, I had learned to speak and write in 9 different languages.
