Design Direction/Design Strategy
The inspiration behind the Riley Smart Hybrid, the first Marc Jacobs wearable watch was a pair of Retro ski goggles. Riley was the first connected fashion watch in the market to feature unique materials and treatments like: aluminum casing, nylon sleeve, silicone strap, and laser crystal. Aesthetic of the ski goggles and sport utility hardware informed the product design.
Combining athleisure style with smartwatch capabilities, the watch is lightweight and has an anti-reflective display that is perfect for the outdoors. It has customizable pushers that allow the user to assign smart features that they’ll use most. Functions include activity tracking, music control, and camera remote.
